Stock the Lounge to Support Our Teachers

Our teachers give so much to Cannon students—including from their own wallets. A 2025 national teacher survey from AdoptAClassroom.org found that teachers spent an average of $895 out of pocket on school supplies during the 2024–25 school year. That figure has climbed 49% since 2015, while 97% of surveyed teachers said their school-provided classroom budget was not enough to cover their needs.

 

Stock the Lounge is one small, practical way Cannon families can show our appreciation. By contributing drinks, snacks, and other lounge favorites, we can brighten a busy school day and help our teachers feel supported by the community they serve.

 

Once a month, each grade level will take a turn to stock the  breakroom for all of the Staff. You can either select an item from the list and have it shipped directly to the school labeled at "Stock the Lounge" - or you can hand it to one of the Dads in the morning car line on the date assigned below. They will happily load it on a cart to bring it inside. 

  • 5th Grade — Friday, September 4
  • 4th Grade — Friday, October 2
  • 3rd Grade — Friday, November 6
  • 2nd Grade — Friday, January 8
  • 1st Grade — Friday, February 5
  • Kinder — Friday, March 5
  • Pre-K — Friday, April 2
  • All Grades — Friday, May 7
